- How to write to support
These are the problems people write to support about most often. Find your problem in the table of contents. For each one you see why it happens, what to do and when to write to support.
You can almost always see the cause in Logs. Logs are notes about what Verse did. Open the logs of the section you need. Find the last red line and the time of the error.
Verse does not open on a Mac
Why. Verse does not have an Apple signature (an Apple Developer ID). So macOS blocks the first launch of the downloaded app.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Find the Security part. Next to the message about Verse, click "Open Anyway".
- Enter your Mac password.
- If macOS says the app is damaged, or there is no button, open the Terminal app.
- Paste the command
xattr -cr /Applications/Verse.appand press Enter. - Open Verse again.
Write to support if Verse still closes right after it opens.
Windows does not let you install Verse or open an account
Why. Windows protection (SmartScreen) warns about apps without a digital signature. Also, Windows settings can stop Verse from controlling the browser.
- In the "Windows protected your PC" window, click "More info".
- Click "Run anyway".
- If an Instagram or Discord account does not start, Verse shows Windows browser policy. Click Fix on Windows.
- Allow the change in the Windows window.
- Close all Chrome and VerseAnty windows.
- Start the account again.
Write to support if you see "Windows policy fix was not completed".
Verse does not accept my key
Why. A license key is a code that turns on Verse. Maybe only part of it was copied. Maybe the license has ended. Or the key is linked to another computer.
- Open Dashboard → License.
- Copy the key again with Copy.
- Check that the license says "Active".
- If you changed computers or reinstalled the system, click Unbind this license's devices. Then enter the key again.
- If Verse says "License server is unavailable", turn off or change your VPN. Try another network and restart Verse.
Write to support if the license is active, the old computer is unlinked, and the key still does not work. Read more in License, devices and moving.
Instagram did not take a message
Why. Verse saves a message in the history only when Instagram confirms it arrived. A message usually does not arrive for one of three reasons:
- the artist has closed their messages;
- the username has a typo;
- Instagram asked to check your account.
- Open Logs and find the line with the artist's username.
- If the artist has closed messages, Verse marks the message as not arrived and moves on. You cannot fix this. Write to the artist in another place.
- If the profile was not found, check the username. One extra or missing letter takes you to someone else's account or an empty page.
- The logs may show
Safety stopor "Manual review required". This means Instagram asked you to log in again, enter a code or pass a check. Or it blocked some actions. Verse stops that account. - Open this account with Login Only in Profiles. Pass the check by hand.
- If Instagram blocked actions, do not send from the account for at least a day. Then send fewer messages and make Delay between messages longer.
Verse may say your password is wrong. But login works in the Instagram app. Then do not try to log in many times in a row. Log in with Import Cookies: Verse takes the login from your browser. Or connect a working profile from Dolphin Anty, Multilogin or AdsPower. These apps give each account its own browser. To learn how, read Instagram profiles.
Write to support if no artist gets your messages, but the account works fine in the browser. To choose how much to send and how long to pause, read Safe sending settings.
Sending does not start or stopped by itself
| What you see | Why and what to do |
|---|---|
| "Warm up the profile first" | A new VerseAnty account must be in Verse for 48 hours. This is warm-up. For now, open it with Login Only and use Instagram as usual |
| An error when starting a profile | This account is already busy with another task. Stop it, then start the new one |
| "Limit reached" on the Stats & Limits screen | The account sent all it can for today. Sending goes on after midnight your time. The work done so far is saved |
| Only one account works, but you picked several | Only Premium and VIP run several accounts at once |
Artist search finds no one
Why. Usually Instagram has limited the account for a while. Or the search filters remove almost everyone.
- The logs may show "Instagram profile API rate limited" or "Scout run cannot continue safely". This means Instagram wants you to wait. Do not start the search again and again. Let the account rest from a few hours to a day. Or use another account.
- Check the Who to save setting. Only artists removes producers, fan pages and unclear profiles. To test, choose Artists + producers.
- Turn off Only with contacts. Since September 2026, Instagram does not give browsers the email and phone behind the Contact button. Verse only sees contacts the artist wrote in their bio.
- Check the Memory block. With Skip SMM sources for 24h on, Verse skips sources it already checked in the last day. Add new sources or click Clear Memory.
- If one source keeps failing when collecting followers, remove it from the list.
The logs may show AI analysis errors. This is the automatic check of profiles. You do not need to do anything. Found profiles are saved. They are checked later, when the connection is back.
On the trial, one search uses 2 sources at most. To set up the search, read Instagram artist discovery.
iMessages do not send
From a Mac. Verse needs macOS permissions and a set-up Messages app.
- Open Messages. Check that you are signed in to iMessage with your Apple ID.
- If Verse shows "macOS permissions required", click Open settings.
- Give Verse Full Disk Access and Messages automation.
- Click Check again.
- Restart Verse.
Through an iPhone. This is sending through your iPhone (Phone Bridge). On Windows, it is the only way.
- The iPhone and the computer must be on the same Wi-Fi network. It is better to turn off VPN on the computer.
- The iPhone needs the latest "Verse iMessage" shortcut. If messages go out strangely, download it again in the Phone Bridge mailing window.
- The computer's firewall must not block Verse. A firewall is protection that decides which apps can use the network.
In both cases:
- write numbers in international format, with
+. To fix many numbers at once, download your contact list as a table. Fix the numbers and load the table back; - messages may come from your email, not your number. Then pick your number under "Start New Conversations From". It is in Messages settings on the iPhone and on the Mac;
- on every plan, you can write to 60 iMessage contacts a day at most. Individual has no iMessage;
- do not quit Verse while sending. You can minimize the window.
Read more in iMessage.
Emails do not send through Gmail
Verse shows the cause when you connect your email. You can also see it in Logs in the Email section.
| The error says | What to do |
|---|---|
| This is not a Google app password, or Google does not accept a regular password | Turn on 2-Step Verification in your Google Account. Create an app password at myaccount.google.com/apppasswords. Paste its 16 letters into App password |
| Google rejected the login or app password (535) | Check that the email address is the one where you made the app password. If you changed your Google password, old app passwords stop working. Make a new one |
| Google blocked the sign-in as suspicious | Open Gmail in a browser on this computer. Confirm it was you. Connect again in a couple of minutes |
| Google temporarily limited sign-in | Wait 15–30 minutes and connect again |
| Connection timeout | Your network blocks email on ports 465 and 587. Turn on a VPN. Or set a proxy in SMTP proxy (optional). A proxy is a separate internet address. SMTP is the email server settings |
| Secure connection intercepted | Your antivirus checks outgoing email. Turn off email or SSL checks for Verse in it |
| Daily limit reached | The email account sent all it can for today by the Daily email limit setting. Go on sending tomorrow |
Email only sends while Verse is open. If Verse closed in the middle of sending, click Resume. Read more in Email campaigns and beat packs.
WhatsApp does not connect
- WhatsApp in Verse works on macOS and Windows. On Windows, update Verse to 5.4.1 or newer.
- The WhatsApp Web window must stay open while sending. You can minimize it.
- If WhatsApp is open in another browser, Verse offers Use here.
- "WhatsApp Web changed, some checks may not work" means WhatsApp changed its page. Update Verse. If you have the latest version, write to support.
Limits did not update after payment
Restart Verse. Your plan and limits update when Verse checks your license. If that does not help, write to support. Give your account email and the time you paid.
Other topics: updates do not download, the bot that controls Verse from Telegram does not answer.
How to write to support
Write on Telegram at @versemgmt or to [email protected]. To get an answer faster, include:
- the Verse version from the top-left corner and your system: macOS or Windows;
- the section where the error happened and what you were doing;
- the time of the error and the Logs lines near it;
- a screenshot if you can see the error on the screen.
Do not send passwords, cookies, a backup file or your full license key.
