Follow-up sequences for selling beats without adding pressure
A follow-up is useful when it adds context or makes the next step easier. It becomes noise when it only repeats the original request.

Give the first message time
Artists may be recording, touring or simply not checking message requests. Choose an interval that fits the channel and relationship instead of reacting to silence immediately.
Change the value, not just the wording
A useful follow-up may include a more relevant snippet, a clearer licensing answer or a reference to a new release. Rephrasing the same demand does not create new value.
- Keep the original context
- Add one useful detail
- Ask one clear question
- Avoid guilt, urgency and repeated notifications
Define a stopping rule
Limit the sequence before launching it. Stop after a refusal, an unsubscribe request or the planned number of unanswered touches. A clean lead status is better than an endless queue.
